I wrote "The Best Goodnight" for my boyfriend at the time, who was serving in the military. I got the idea for the song from his mother. She told me that even when she could not see him or hear his voice, she could always feel him when she watched the sun rise because she knew that wherever he was, he was watching the sun rise with her. After that, I would always look out my window at night and it gave me comfort to know that somewhere he could see the same stars, and I wrote this for him to remind him to do the same when he was feeling lonely.

Ali Pimentel grew up in Hanson, MA and currently is a senior at Wheelock College in Boston. She has been singing her entire life and started playing the guitar 10 years ago. Ali can be seen playing acoustic shows at various venues in the Boston area. Her dream is to go into music therapy for children with Autism because she thinks that music is an extremely important tool for learning. Ali feels that music is a natural way to express herself and she loves being able to share her talent for music with those who need it the most.
