I originally wrote these lyrics for a scene in an indie movie in which the lead character has lost his way and is walking around the streets of Boston feeling lost. So, I kept the lyrics a bit abstract and metaphorical in order to capture a feeling more than a story. Much of the imagery is actually about loosing your map, having a hard time navigating the terrain about things being shattered and the tank being empty. While i meant this as an emotional symbol for feelings I think it actually could relate very much to a soldiers experience as much of the imagery is similar to things one may encounter on a war mission.

Antje Duvekot has solidified her reputation as one of Boston's favorite singer songwriters with "Big Dream Boulevard" her debut studio album (produced by Seamus Egan, founder of the Irish super group, SOLAS), her follow-up record "the Near Demise of the Highwire Dancer" and her current release "New Siberia" (both produced by singer-songwriter Richard Shindell). Antje has won various songwriting awards including the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, the prestigious, Kerrville (TX) "Best New Folk Award" and the Boston Music Award for "Outstanding Folk Act". Antje has extensive touring experience, criss-crossing the US and Europe. She is a compelling live performer and has been invited to play some of the top festivals including The Newport Folk Festival as well as the Mountain Stage, Philadelphia and Kerrville Festivals. Internationally, she's headlined the The Celtic Connections Festival in Scotland and the Tonder Festival in Denmark.
